Man, I have to say it. Blueprint gave the rapper submission of his life on this one. I'm highly impressed by the feeling behind "Feel Me" and "Pain." Rappers need to listen to this project and see why they aren't winning.
Excellent work, 'Print. I know I'm just a Weightless fanboy, but this shit is glorious on the raps. The beats are tight too, but I appreciate where you coming from with the bars. Patter-ins and all that… keep it coming, man.
The EP is real nice. Can't decide if it tops Print vs. Funkadelic though. I really like how the documentary clips are not referencing the history or sound of The Who directly but select pieces from the band's life. It's cool to let listeners in on the whole amphetamine thing for example. The first listen was really interesting, later on I find myself skipping the spoken word a lot as I give it more spins.
The rhymes are nice, the production is tight. I especially like See Thru. Perfect match of this dissappointment / bitterness and then liberation, both sound and lyric-wise. Really the only thing I don't like is how pretty much every track has drums everyone has heard and used a bazillion times before, but that's probably just my production-ear talking.
Dope, solid work all-around though, most definitely.
