Blueprint Announces New Album, “Chamber Music II”
When Blueprint released his Falling Down EP this past spring, underground hip-hop fans welcomed him back with excitement. And although the project and its tour were well-received, many wondered what was next. After all, it has been six years between projects, so it made sense to wonder when and if Blueprint would return with more music.
Well the question has been officially answered, as Blueprint announces the fall release of his Chamber Music 2 instrumental album, twenty years after dropping the original.
“The first Chamber Music album was a bit cult classic in my catalog that I’ve always wanted to revisit, but once I became more known as an MC it became a little harder to make instrumental projects,” he says. “I’m just glad to get back to it and drop the follow-up twenty years after the first one dropped.“
Just as the first installment included guest features from a who’s who of underground hip-hop, Chamber Music 2 is no different; featuring guest vocal appearances from The Orphanage (Blueprint, Slug, Aesop Rock, and Illogic), Illogic, and two new Blueprint solo songs. And the music is just as dense and forward-thinking as ever. “There was a dark element that the first one had that I wanted to keep intact, but update and elevate for the current times. I think this second installment does a great job of that.”
