Blueprint Announces New Solo Album, Vessel

In 2024, when underground hip-hop pioneer Blueprint (Rhymesayers/Weightless) released his five-song Falling Down EP, it marked the end of a six year absence from releasing music. And while his core fans were happy with the introspective and uplifting songs that marked his return to the game, the shortness of the project also left them wanting a proper full-length album.

On July 29th, 2025 those fans will be finally getting that, as Blueprint announced the release of his ninth solo album, Vessel.

Originally slated as the follow-up to his 2018 album Two-Headed Monster, Vessel’s initial 2020 release was shuttered first due to the covid pandemic and later due to Blueprint’s subsequent disappearance from the music industry.  This was quite a blow to someone who had been a full-time artist for twenty years leading up to that point.  Blueprint recalls, “Once the covid lockdowns happened and shut down every music venue and pretty much the entire music industry, I had no choice but to postpone the release of Vessel.  Since there was no way to make money for a couple of years, I decided to just get a regular job for a while and take some time away from the music industry.”

But after making his return to releasing music in 2024 with his Falling Down EP, Blueprint knew it was time to get Vessel ready for its long-overdue release.  So he went back in the lab, updating and improving what he already had, in order to make it an even better album than what it already was.  I loved the album, but knew I could make it even stronger with a couple of small tweaks, so I made those changes and now I feel like it’s a classic,” Blueprint says about the revisions he made to Vessel.  Those changes took the album to the next level.   The result, is one of the most musical and inspiring albums of Blueprint’s career.

And now, it’s ready for the masses. Vessel will be released July 29th, 2025.  Preorder your copy HERE.
